If you’re reading this, something’s brought you here. Probably not a crisis. More likely a quiet, persistent feeling that something’s shifted — and you’re not quite sure what to do about it.
I know that feeling. Not from a textbook. From my own life experience.
On paper, I had it sorted. The steady career, a beautiful family, good friends, the home I wanted. From the outside, everything looked fine — and by most measures, it was. But underneath that, something didn’t add up. A low-grade restlessness that only grew over time. A sense that I was carrying more than I was letting on, moving forward but not sure of the direction. The question that kept surfacing — quietly, persistently — was: is this it?
I didn’t have a dramatic breakdown. I had something harder to name than that. And I’ve since learned that’s exactly where most of the men I work with find themselves too.
Over the past 7 years, through founding BlueBalls Ireland and Ripple Effect Ireland, I’ve been part of hundreds of honest conversations with men navigating pressure, burnout, identity, and change. Men who look capable and composed on the outside and are quietly struggling on the inside. Men who would never reach out for help but knew — at some level — that something needs to shift.
Those conversations changed me. They confirmed something I now believe completely: clarity is one of the most powerful forces in a person’s life. Not the Instagram version of clarity — not a vision board or a list of affirmations. Real clarity. The kind that comes from finally being honest about where you are, what you actually want, and what’s been getting in the way. When a man gets that kind of clarity, everything changes. His decisions. His relationships. The way he shows up. The way he feels about his own life.
That’s what Back Yourself Coaching is built around.
I work with professional men — typically in their mid 30s to early 50s — who are ready to stop running on autopilot and start working towards something that is meaningful to them. My approach is direct, grounded, and honest. I won’t tell you what to do. I don’t use generic coaching tools. I won’t give you a checklist. I will ask you the questions you’ve been avoiding and together we find answers you can stand over. All of the above is done with a real genuine care as well!
This isn’t therapy. It’s focused, personalised, one-to-one work that meets you where you actually are — not where you think you should be.
If any of this sounds familiar, the next step is simple. A free 30-minute Clarity Call. No pitch, no pressure — just an honest conversation about where you are and whether working together makes sense. The one last thing I want to leave you to ponder is… what is the long term effect of inaction?
